On my DNA, both 23 and also Ancestry, I find ALOT of DNA matches for Pettits, which is a name I have been unaware of. The James Pettit I'm looking at is born in Missouri, in 1887, with a death of around 1917. I don't know, I started this journey in probably 2015 and my great grand dad has stumped me for years, and noone knows. I carry the last name Lorraine, which was changed in my father's youth from Loraine. Anyways, if anyone is smarter at this stuff than me I'd sure appreciate it...
