Hi there. I am looking for a family bible. Maybe one of you can help. It was in the ownership of the stepchildren of William Wright, my great uncle. His brother, my grandfather, was Robert Prentice Wright. I am - I believe a 5th great granddaughter of this Benjamin Pettit through the Prentice/Pettit marriage. I'd love to make contact with the stepchildren and use the info in that bible to confirm names and locations. My sister contacted them twenty years ago. They wouldn't part with the bible and she didn't get them to simply send the information. Perhaps they are on here? I can trace my relatives to William McDowell Pettit (son of Benjamin Jr) and Marie Elizabeth Prentice. And, beyond them to Benjamin Pettit but there are discrepancies in location (they apparently started in North Carolina, moved to Kentucky, then Mississippi and Arkansas) and discrepancies in the name of the grandmother of WM Pettit. It's likely there were multiple Benjamins besides my two. Does this sound familiar to anyone here? (The bible I was told about could have come from the Wright side.)
