Brandon I'd like to here from anyone who know why Henry Pettit Jr (b1790) named his first son Elijah Pool(e) Pettit. It looks like there was a cousin of his name Elijah Pool who married Henry's sister Mary Ann Pettit while the family was living in Rutherford County, NC. Does anyone have any information on this Elijah Pool? He seems to have died young. Do any of you Ellijay Pettit's know anything about this? Please let me know!
