I am seeking any information I can get about Alexander Pettit, born 1767, reported to be the son of James and Martha McCune Pettit. Alexander was named the executor of his brother's James Pettit will dated 1823 in Ohio County, Virginia (today is West Virginia). Alexander had a daughter named Rosanna who married Thomas Bigham (indexed Bingham) in December of 1812 in Wheeling, Ohio County, Virginia (today's West Virginia).
I believe the Bigham and Alexander Pettit's families left the Ohio County area soon after 1823 and settled in Mississippi.
I am a descendant of Thomas Bigham and Rosanna Pettit Bigham.
